This will be the second testimonial to give to Minimally Invasive.
Not only did Dr. Rodriguez stuck by his words of saying he will fix the pain; he did. His PA- Debbie decided to do a routine MRI of the C-spine in January 2013; all came back normal except a 10 mm increase in my thyroid. I saw my PCP and had a sonogram done; it came back as a complex nodule. I was referred out to one of the top ENT doctors; they removed the right side of my thyroid. It had grown too large in such a short time. I owe Minimally Invasive everything for catching that! Great, Great team of Doctors, Nurses, MA’s the whole group at Minimally Invasive.
It was a year ago, December 19, 2012, that I had back surgery. My problems had begun that summer. It had gotten to the point that I could not stand or sit very long without pain in my back and down my leg. Dr. Rimlawi made 2 small incisions and replaced my collapsed disc. I followed his instructions and wore that lovely back brace until he told me I could retire it! I would recommend Minimally Invasive to anyone having back problems.
Thank you Dr. Rimlawi and Andrea!!!!
Long, long story short. I had a herniated disc at my L-2 L3 level. After many months of chiropractic care, physicle therapy and ESI injections, I learned about Minimally Invasive from my P.T.. Many Thanks to Dr. Rimlawi and all the staff including medical and clerical. They NEVER allowed me to give up on my welfare. They treated me as if I was part of the family there. I drive an eighteen-wheeler and spend all day sitting. Now, Zero Pain! Again, thank you all so much. May God bless you all. Johnny Gamboa
Pain was my “friend” for many months. Then one day I decided to look for help and found it! Thank you Dr. Benbow for giving me back my normal life!
Good Morning Minimally Invasive Spine Institute!!!
Just in case I didn’t mention it at my appointment yesterday, thanks to all of you for what you have done for me and for getting me where I am today! This past year has been a journey, an adventure and an education, and I am very grateful to all of you, and Dr. Shay and his staff, for giving me my life back!!
I have your cards and brochures, and I tell my story to anyone who will listen…like I mentioned yesterday, the back brace has been a walking advertisement (and conversation piece), and I am grateful to be able to share my experience, and hopefully help others learn about what options are available! When I see the fear in their eyes of surgery, I always say, “It was only four hours (during which I had several things done), then I was walking four hours after that, then went home…and LOOK AT THESE LITTLE INCISIONS.” The look in their eyes always amazes me, and their fear of surgery subsides.
I am so grateful, and if I can help anyone alleviate years of chronic pain, and get over the fears, it helps to make it all worthwhile…I just wish someone had shared with me years ago, instead of the doctors telling me “There is nothing anyone can do and you will just have to deal with the pain.”
Again, thanks to all f you for helping me through the past year with my different procedures and for giving me my life back! Wish me luck with my physical therapy and I will see you all next year!
“I was in so much pain and on so much medication before my procedure that I had NO quality of life. I could not do anything for myself and had been told for years that nothing could be done for me. The Minimally Invasive Spine Institute gave me my life back.”
“I wanted to thank you personally for the wonderful job you did on my back. Your surgery was really a miracle to me. I spent months flat on my back – unable to move, work or enjoy much of anything. Immediately after the surgery, the pain was gone. The feeling has returned to my leg, and my knee gets stronger every day. Thank you, again, for giving me back my way of life.”
“Before The Minimally Invasive Spine Institute, my bulging disk had me in a wheelchair not able to walk.”
(wife of UNT Football head coach, formerly Southlake Carroll high school head coach)
“My pain was gone after minimally invasive endoscopic surgery. I attended the Texas high school football championship game only a week after the surgery. I was able to witness my husband’s and son’s team win the state championship.”
“After the surgery, I was able to discontinue all my respiratory medicine and now I am able to walk the mall and have a normal life. I got my life back.”

A little over 24 hours ago, I was in back surgery… I have been sitting at my computer all day and I have no pain down my leg… I feel wonderful. What a great surgery… I went in at 7 am, and they released me at 10:30 am. I am now up and working on my two businesses.
The Minimally Invasive Spine Institute checked me out to make sure they could help me. I did an MRI then Pain Mapping to see exactly which nerve was being pressed on. They told me a lot of people say they wished they would have done this years ago. They even checked out the area where I had surgery 20 years ago… and found some bone spurs touching the spinal cord, which they removed… Damn, I feel great. My daughter just said to me, “Dad, it is kind of weird not seeing you limp.” I had been limping for almost a year. I am a personal trainer at an athletic club, and have been there for almost 8 years. Many people there have been watching me limp around for almost 1 year, so I am excited to begin passing out business cards for The Minimally Invasive Spine Institute.
I feel wonderful. Thanks, Glenn
Denise and Bruce R.
A MOUNTAIN of thanks to you all! We appreciate the great job on Bruce’s surgery. we were amazed at how fast it was scheduled for us. We came from Alaska. It has been over 4 weeks now and Bruce feels wonderful. Thanks for taking the grumpiness out and replacing it with happy. What a difference you have made!
Thank you very much!
Thank you Minimally Invasive for my new life. After surgery for Spinal Stenosis and a bulging disk and one day in the hospital I feel like a new person. I have been walking 5 miles a day for the last 4 months and feel wonderful. After referring my son in law for the surgery he is also doing great. I carry business cards and hand to every person I see that seems to have a hard time walking (as a living testimony) to the gift these doctor at this institute can give you.
Dr. Beltran is a very knowledgeable doctor and she knows how to treat muscles and nerves. I have had over 40% reduction in pain since starting her treatment. She is very friendly and informative about issues. I would highly recommend her!

“I made the cut in a golf tournament 8 weeks later”
“I’m doing wonderful, I’m out of pain. Back to life as normal.”
“After 8 years of pain, trouble walking, sleeping, and not being able to play golf, The Minimally Invasive Spine Institute has me on the course 3 days a week and all with an incision the size of my small fingernail.”
“With an incision less than 1/2″ long and back home the next day, I can now do the things with my grandkids that I could not do before surgery with The Minimally Invasive Spine Institute.”
Four years ago this month, you performed surgery for spondylolisthesis on my back. The results have been exceptional. My determination to heal and my willingness to follow your instructions helped me through and I came out on the other side better than I’ve ever been. I exercise faithfully at least 5 days a week doing both aerobics and calisthenics with weights. It is with great pride that I report I rode in a 252 mile bike ride through the rolling hills of Iowa over four days last month!
Thank you Minimally Invasive Spine Institute for everything you did for me and for giving me a better quality of life that I ever imagined I could have!
With great respect and gratitude,
