Dr. Meyer entered private practice in the Oklahoma City area in 2005, and built a successful pain management practice. During his time in Oklahoma City, he served as the President of the Oklahoma Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and as Chairman of the Board of the Oklahoma Pain Society. He has assisted in training other pain physicians as an instructor through both the World Institute of Pain and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. Dr. Meyer has served as a board examiner for both organizations.
Dr. Meyer possesses a multidisciplinary approach to pain management utilizing a wide range of non-invasive, musculoskeletal ultra-sound and interventional pain procedures for pain relief. He treats a variety of conditions with a heavy focus in back and neck pain and expert knowledge in spinal cord stimulator implants. Dr. Meyer’s many common procedures including spinal cord stimulator trials/implants, epidural steroid injections, caudal steroid injections, selective nerve root blocks, facet blocks, facet joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, sacroiliac joint injections, sympathetic blocks, sympathetic neurolysis, intra-articular injections, bursa injections, trigger point injections, vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, discography, and occipital nerve blocks.
Dr. Meyer’s treatment philosophy is a multimodal plan, involving interventional techniques that treat the initial source of the pain along with the incorporation of physical therapy, chiropractics, medications and injections. His treatment plans are evidence-based and specially designed to promote the quickest, safest, and most complete recovery while providing his patients with the highest level of individualized care.
